We are so excited to host the area’s first community vow renewal ceremony on Saturday, August 7th at 3:00pm at Waldron Court; located immediately next to us at 388 Central Avenue in downtown Dover.
Like the community-wide vow renewal and wedding ceremony concept that is commonly practiced in the western part of the country, this vow renewal ceremony is a fun way to celebrate marriage. Whether you have been married months, years, or decades, there is no better way to let the world know you’d do it all over again in a heartbeat.
This non-denominational ceremony is unlike a traditional wedding ceremony. A vow renewal is not a legally binding ceremony, but instead is a romantic and fun way to remind both of you just how much you mean to each other. Participants will even receive a vow renewal certificate signed by Kelly as a keepsake of your special day.

Q: What is a community vow renewal?
A: Simply put, a vow renewal is a way to celebrate your marriage. Perhaps you've made it to 2, 5, 10, 25 or 50 years together and you want the world to know you'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. Maybe you want to reaffirm your commitment to each other after a rough period in your relationship. There's no wrong reason to renew. A community vow renewal and even community wedding ceremonies are more common practice in the western part of the country. Cities like Seattle and San Francisco hold records for the most well attended community ceremonies. It’s a great way to celebrate your love and feel inspired by others as well.
Q: Who will officiate the ceremony?
A: Jewelry Creations store owner, Kelly Glennon, is a Justice of the Peace in NH and ordained by the Universal Life Church. Vow renewals are not a legally binding ceremony, like a wedding, but each participating couple will receive a vow renewal certificate signed by Kelly.
Q: Can my family attend the community vow renewal?
A: Absolutely! With covid restrictions lifted, we encourage you to invite family to witness the vow renewal ceremony!
Q: Must we register to participate?
A: Yes. In order to plan accordingly, couples must register on this web page. The deadline for registration is August 3rd.
Q: Will there be a ring exchange?
A: Yes, just like the first time around, you will exchange rings to renew your vows. Use your existing wedding bands or consider an upgrade – anything goes! Registered couples will receive $200 off a purchase of $1000 or more towards new wedding/anniversary bands.
And if you want to be extra sparkly for the big day, stop by for a complimentary ring cleaning before the ceremony. We clean all jewelry, whether purchased from us or not, while you wait and for no cost to you.
Q: Is this a religious ceremony?
A: The community vow renewal ceremony is non-denominational ceremony and will serve more as a celebration of love.
Q: Can we participate even if we aren’t married?
A: All participating couples must be legally married to renew their vows. Couples participating understand that the community vow renewal ceremony is not a legally binding ceremony.
Q: What should I wear?
A: There is no dress code – come as you are or dig out your original wedding gown and tuxedo. Clothes, of some sort, are a requirement though!
Q: Will there be a photographer?
A: Jewelry Creations will have a photographer taking candid shots. We will share all photos on social media. If you would like a specific photo or a photographer dedicated to your vow renewal, we recommend bringing your own photographer along.
Q: Will there be a reception after?
