At Jewelry Creations, our story has always been about family—those you're born with, and those you find along the way. So when something impacts one of us deeply, it ripples through all of us. That’s why we’re sharing something especially close to our hearts.
Recently, we made a $2,600 donation to a local nonprofit called Amy’s Treat. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re doing amazing work right here in our community—supporting people living with cancer in real, tangible ways. Our donation will fund cold cap therapy for a chemotherapy patient who might not otherwise be able to afford it.
We made this gift in honor of someone you might already know if you’ve ever been in the store—our manager, Kim. She’s not just a leader on our team. She’s family—literally. She’s also Kelly’s sister, and over the last year, she’s been navigating her own cancer journey with courage, grace, and (true to form) an incredible sense of humor.
Kim completed twelve weeks of chemotherapy this spring. During treatment, she used cold cap therapy, which helped her preserve her hair. That may sound like a small thing, but it isn’t. When so much is out of your control, something as personal as your appearance can mean everything. Kim has said many times that it wasn’t about vanity—it was about feeling like herself. About facing each day, and each appointment, with a little more strength.
So we wanted to pay that forward.
Our hope is that someone else in our community—someone we may never meet—gets to feel that same strength during their treatment. That they get to look in the mirror and see themselves, not just a patient.
