Not-So-Favorite Picks
As part of our heated debates we ended up having discussions about our "least favorite even though everyone loves them" movie picks. This will be the most controversial discussion in the bunch, so don't blame the messenger! There was a theme around this one. It seems most people were feeling like "A Christmas Story" was their least favorite, with Alex throwing some fightin' words down at Doug for the "Die Hard" pick. Here's everyone's least favorite holiday movie.
- Josh says that "A Christmas Story" is way overplayed.
- Doug agrees with Josh on "A Christmas Story", but also feel it's just not as funny as people say it is.
- Kelly is in agreement on "A Christmas Story" and says that the lead character is "kind of a punk".
- Kim doesn't like the dark nature of "A Nightmare Before Christmas".
- Alex claims, emphatically, that "Die Hard" is not a holiday movie. She maintains that "just because it happens at Christmas does not mean it's a Christmas movie!" Doug, of course disagrees.
- Krista doesn't like "Jack Frost". She says that "it's just a terrible movie".
- Brett thinks that "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" is way overplayed.
- Laurie doesn't like "Scrooged" with Bill Murray. She's not a fan of corporate bigwigs I guess?
- Laura doesn't like "It's a Wonderful Life"... She might have some rose colored glasses in place with "Merry Gentlemen"!
